I t is with a profound sense of loss that we have heard that Hazrat Mehmet Nuri Baba (Haji Baba) of Konya (1918 -
1998) has passed from this life into the Mercy of Allah. We extend our deepest sympathy to his near and dear ones.
I met him just a few times but at once perceived him to be a great sufi saint and a friend whose friendship, I trust and
pray, will continue to flower from the garden of eternity. I will miss him deeply, though persons such as he cannot
truly be said to die but live on, not only in our hearts, but in the world of Reality beyond the veil of this world.
